EAA Chapter 673 Meeting Minutes - July 12, 2005

Meeting Called to order at 7:05pm. Twenty four members in attendance.

June meeting minutes accepted as published in the Newsletter.

Treasurer's report: Current Bank Balance is $3563.74

Membership report. Progress is slow on the address updates. A roster was passed out upon which to make corrections. Remember: no dues, no newsletter.

Young Eagles Report. Due to OSHKOSH, there will be no Young Eagles flown this month.

Guests in attendance included Tabitha, Gim Grenier's daughter.

Mail-in information. Erick Brown is taking reservations for OSHKOSH 2006. Deposit is $44. If desired, next year there are air conditioned rooms for $70/night.

Upcoming events: Saturday, July 23 -- Fly-In BarbeQue at Cleremont, NH, airport.

New Projects. A project idea was presented involving printing chapter T-shirts which would carry paid advertising space on the back for such businesses as fly-In restaurants. No action taken at the meeting.

News from Around 9B1. Be sure to wear your ID badge and report suspicious activity to Bob Stetson.

I Learned about Flying from that: Report your position ACCURATELY at non-towered airports. It could save your life. In marginal VFR, a request for flight following might be slow in being because of the large number of IFR filings, which get priority. Remember, advisories are available only on an AS WORKLOAD PERMITS basis.

The work is progressing nicely on the trailer. Please submit outstanding expense receipts as the $600 limit is fast approaching. A second work day is scheduled for Sunday, August 21. Nice job done so far by everyone!

Old Business. President Lieberman reports that the old web-site now points to the new web-site. The Chapter collected $77 in donations for the Memorial and at the 4th of July impromptu picnick.

New Business. A motion was made and carried that a rotating volunteer breakfast fly-out coordinator would choose a destination, and attend the fly-out destination. The time is always the Saturday following the monthly chapter meeting. Beverly Lieberman volunteered for July 2005. Show by Sunday, 10:00am. Breakfast will happen ... somewhere.

Meeting adjourned at 8:00pm.
