Sandy Stetson’s surgery was successful and Sandy is with us today to tell us the good news.

I learned about flying from that – Cross-wind landings were the topics of last month’s trailer meeting. The topic was very relevant because somebody unsuccessfully tried to land in Marlboro that day in cross-wind conditions and had to abort. Jim warned us not to rely too much on the procedures and limitations described on the manuals. They do not apply to every situation and do not always make sense. Rich observed that the loss of Bridgeport and the FSS centralization, as negative as it may be, might improve some of the communication problems we experienced lately.

Old Business – Air Rally will be on October 20th. Bring a stopwatch with you. Air Day has been rescheduled for Oct. 7th.

Yard Sale: postponed to Spring or Fall
